At our annual Women’s Retreat, all the choices are yours, whether that’s cruising on the Giant Swing, taking a walk by the lake, spending time with friends new and old, or simply doing some much needed (and well deserved) relaxing. Speaker Details

Sarah Salzberg lives in Los Angeles, CA with her husband (Josh), son (Hosea) and daughter (Simone), traveling from one coffee shop to another trying as many cappuccinos and croissants as she can. When not hopped up on espresso, Sarah teaches Old Testament at Orange Lutheran High School in Orange County, CA. In addition, she has served as a planner and theological advisor for the LCMS Youth Gathering as well as a speaker for youth and women’s retreats around the country. Any opportunity she gets, she loves to share how bananas it is that the God of the universe would choose to limit Himself to human language and the human experience!

Weekend Details

Registration begins Friday at 4pm and we wrap up around noon Sunday, following worship and brunch. View a sample schedule here.

Friday Evening

• 4-7pm: Registration
• 6pm: Supper
• 7pm: Opening, Lutherhaven Chapel

Saturday Includes

• Speaker and Breakout Sessions
• Crafts
• Massages ($80, paid directly to massage therapist via cash or check)
• Lakeside Walks
• Singing and Worship
• Lots of time to laugh and chat with new and old friends
• Professional Napping

Sunday

• We will wrap up the Women’s Retreat with Worship at 10:30 AM with check-out following. You are welcome to hang out around camp after worship, we just ask that you please be moved out of your housing by noon.

Commuter Information

We are glad you are joining us! If you are joining us on Saturday only, breakfast is served from 8:30 – 9:15 am and our first session will begin in the chapel at 9:30 am. The last speaker session starts at 7pm on Saturday night and will end around 8:30pm. Afterwards, you are welcome to stay for trivia at 8:30 or head on home.

The Chapel will be your home base for the weekend. Please feel free to leave any items you don’t need all day in there.

If coming on Friday, please plan to check-in any time after 4pm, dinner is at 6pm, and our first speaker session is at 7pm in the Chapel.

Lodging

You will receive lodging assignments upon arrival. All lodging assignments are made with the best stewardship of camp’s resources in mind. We have limited private housing which is available on a first-come-first-served basis (see pricing above). If you need private housing for health reasons please contact us at registrar@lutherhaven.com. Bathrooms are located in your lodging spaces.
